Terrington Hall has been named as one of the top prep schools in the North in the newly-released Tatler Schools Guide 2022.

The independent school teaches children aged 3-13 and is “developing the bubble of a perfect childhood experience,” Tatler notes.

It praises the school’s excellent outdoors provision, its inclusive approach and its new adventure, leadership and life skills programme, the TALL Award.

The annual Tatler Schools Guide supplement is published with the October edition of the magazine.

Describing Terrington Hall it said:“This is the ideal school for bold, outdoorsy types and it’s at the top of its game when it comes to sports. Having produced multiple county players, it also supports those who are more holistically minded with calming extracurricular yoga sessions. Another point of pride is the pupils’ impeccable manners: meals start with grace and lessons end with a polite thank you.”

Headteacher Simon Kibler said: “We are indeed an ambitious school. We want the best for our pupils, both academically and through the wide-range of extra-curricular activities we offer. We’re thrilled with this review and will continue to work at ensuring our pupils receive a nurturing education which expands their horizons and equips them with all the essential skills to succeed.”

The Tatler Schools Guide is produced by researchers who travel the country and process parent questionnaires to whittle down shortlisted independent schools and arrive at a final list of 250.
