Properties in Malton and Norton affected by power cuts

A spokesperson for Norther Power Grid said a power cut was first reported at 5.52am affecting 440 homes in the area.

At 10.32am, seven properties were affected and at 10.41am, a further 427.

"Our engineers found problems with the overhead cables and rectified the problem. We apologies for any convenience."

There has been a powercut in Malton today that is also affecting the Council, so apologies if you are experiencing some difficulties in reaching us today. We have been told that the problem should be resolved by mid-afternoon, so we will be back to normal service very soon.
