A celebration of all the charities, community groups, small businesses and social enterprises in the Ryedale area is being held this weekend.

Love Local at Nunnington Hall will be held on Sunday, July 25 at the National Trust property with stalls in the garden from the local area..

Leni Ella, programming and partnership officer at Nunnington Hall, said:“After what has been an incredibly difficult year for everyone, we are proud to be able to host this day of celebration. This annual event really does show off the resilience and good old Yorkshire grit of the people in this area. The event is free to attend and we’re looking forward to welcoming people from all our surrounding areas and further afield, to experience a little of what this corner of Ryedale has to offer.”

The stall holders include Bar Walls Gins; Sam Pearce, a North Yorkshire based blacksmith and artist; Ryedale Photography, based in Nunnington who showcase art inspired by the North York Moors; York Rescue Boats, a service ran by volunteers that patrol the city, respond to emergency calls and run an education program; North York Moors, and artist Hannah Turlington.

There is still space for stall holders and anyone can apply to have a stall. Prospective stall holders can email leni.ella@nationaltrust.org.uk.

Admission will also be be free to Nunnington Hall on the day.
