The Derwent Arms in Norton has temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for covid.
A spokesperson said: "As a precautionary measure due to a member of staff testing positive for Covid we will be closed until further notice for deep cleaning.
"The staff member has not been in work since Monday. As we are very strict with the wearing of masks and our hygiene procedures there is no need for alarm this is simply a precautionary measure to allow further staff testing and to protect our customers.
"We are in contact with our local EHO and taking guidance.
"Anyone that could be affected please don't worry you will be contacted by track and trace if they need to.
"We will see you soon."
The Grapes at Slingsby also closed earlier this week due to a positive covid test from a staff member.
