A MALTON-based company which provides vital support for the oil and gas sector has celebrated its 20th anniversary

Swinton Technology, whose headquarters are at York Road Industrial Estate, was set up in 2001.

The name Swinton Technology was chosen because the original office was based at Swinton Grange and kept the same initials. The first few months were spent completing projects passed over from Spectra-Tek.

Over the past two decades, Swinton Technology has engineered and installed over 350 metering flow computer systems worldwide and completed a total of 1,791 projects and counting.

The company has also developed a range of oil and gas solutions along with metering solutions from TruST, a market-leading intuitive Metering Supervisory Computer, and EyeMet, Swinton's brand-new metering Management Information System web application.

Managing director Ben Leach said that after 20 incredible years in the industry, Swinton Technology continues to expand their knowledge and develop ever more innovative metering solutions that meet the demands of the oil and gas industry.

"Swinton Technology is very proud to have reached the significant milestone of operating in a very competitive global oil and gas market for 20 years, in particular bearing in mind the difficult period that the sector has faced in the last 15 months due to the pandemic.

"He said: "With offices in the UK, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, our highly experienced team supply and support systems all over the world.

Mr Leach added: "The Swinton Technology team is currently very busy as the company has recently secured several large projects and the sales forecast for the coming years looks very positive.

"We are very much looking forward to celebrating this success as a team as soon as it is appropriate to do so.'

The Swinton Technology team will celebrate the 20th anniversary after restrictions are lifted with a day at York Racecourse.
