FIREFIGHTERS rescued a cat stuck on the roof of a two-storey house.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at around 5.51pm yesterday (June 10) to the incident in Eastfield, near Scarborough.
A spokesperson for the service said: “At the request of the RSPCA, a Scarborough fire crew used a 9-metre ladder to rescue a cat from the guttering of a two-storey domestic premises. Its rear legs had become wedged under roof tile.
“The non-grateful cat was returned safely to earth and the owner was grateful.”
