A FIVE-YEAR-OLD superhero is set to lead a team of fundraisers up one of the highest peaks in North East Wales to raise money for the NSPCC.

Leo Richardson loves dressing up as superheroes, and will take on Moel Famau on Saturday, June 12 to support the NSPCC’s first national Childhood Day – a new fundraising event set up to celebrate the importance of play in childhood.

Leo will be joined by more than 20 fundraisers from across the North West and Yorkshire, including fundraiser Gemma Lumley from York.

She said: “I’m really looking forward to being one of the superheroes climbing up Moel Famau, along with five-year-old Leo who I’m sure will be flying straight to the top.

“I love walking and taking on challenges like Moel Famau, and anything I can do to help support the NSPCC and children and young people across the country is a worthwhile cause – especially when I’m part of a great team of superheroes led by Leo.”
