TWO distressed dogs had to be rescued after being left in a car in hot weather.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said they were called out at 7.45pm on Sunday to Marine Drive in Scarborough to an incident involving two distressed dogs which had been left in a car.
A service spokesman said: "Crews released them and gave them some water.
They added:"The owner returned to the car whilst crews were on scene and the incident was left with the police."
