The National Garden Scheme in Yorkshire is running a number of Special Events in Ryedale comprising a talk on the history and development of the garden by the Head Gardener and/ or Owner, a guided tour, followed by a Q&A session, and including light refreshments. The first event is on Tuesday 18th May at Havoc Hall, Oswaldkirk, followed by Arden Hall, Hawnby on Friday 18th June and Ness Hall, East Ness on Wednesday 23rd June. All three events run from 1030-1300. Later in the summer, Scampston Walled Garden will host an event from 1600-1830 on 6th July; there is another opportunity to see Havoc Hall on 13th July from 1030-1300 and Helmsley Walled Garden will host an event on Thursday 26th August from 1800-2030. All these events can be booked online at www.ngs.org.uk/special-events. Tickets are £25 per person with all proceeds going to NGS charities, including Macmillan Nurses, Hospice UK, Marie Curie and the Queens Nursing Institute.
