POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash.
An ambulance and a HGV collided at 3.30pm on Thursday on the A1079, Hull Road between Wilberfoss and Barmby Moor.
A spokesperson said: "Sadly a man passed away at the scene, his family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this sad time.
"Two others, a man and woman, were taken to hospital to receive treatment for their injuries, the man remains in a serious condition.
"Our specialist teams are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage which could assist us to come forward."
