RESIDENTS are being invited to buy a seat in memory of a loved one.
Pickering Town Council's Maintenance Officer has been refurbishing the authority's 85 seats and picnic tables, however a number are beyond repair and have had to be removed.
A spokesperson said: "There is an opportunity for members of the public to purchase a seat in memory of a loved one to go in the town centre.
"The seat must be of a specific type approved by the council, and the council can arrange to install the seat and maintain this."
