NORTH Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information following an assault.

It happened at 10.50am on Hoxton Road, Scarborough, and involved a man and a woman arguing in the road on April 4 (Sunday). After about 15 minutes the man drove off in a vehicle in a dangerous manner.

The man was located and arrested by police the same day and has been released on bail pending further investigation.

A spokesperson of the force said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information from local residents and business owners who may have CCTV footage covering the Hoxton Road area.”
