THIS week's 'Star of the Week' is Deacon Weir.
Deacon, who lives in Norton, has been under Sheffield Children’s Hospital since he was about a year old and decided he would like to take some Easter eggs for the youngsters when he attended his outpatient appointment last Wednesday.
The 10-year-old was nominated for 'Star of the Week' by Shannon Williamson, who said: "I nominate Deacon because he donated over 200 Easter eggs to the children at Sheffield Hospital at one of his appointments last week.
"His reasoning was because he wanted the children in the hospital to be able to have something for Easter.
Shannon added: "For a primary school aged child to come up with the idea and put so much passion and effort into making it happen is amazing. I couldn't be prouder to know the family of the young boy. He definitely deserves to be recognised."
