A SCOUT group has hopped to it and organised an Easter Bunny Hunt, despite the pandemic.

The 1st Helmsley Scout Group is challenging individuals and families to a scavenger hunt to solve 12 clues and win an Easter egg.

The Easter Bunny Hunt has already started, with forms available from Elijah Todd’s of Helmsley or by registering online until April 12.

“We tried to think of a way that was Covid-safe to allow families and children to still have fun over Easter,” said Fran Evans, group scout leader.

“The event provides a socially distant alternative to the usual Easter egg hunts. Please remember to follow all government guidelines.

“The businesses in Helmsley have been great to help us out with placing bunnies on their shop windows with clues.

“The entry form has 12 riddles that need to be solved before the bunny can be found. I really hope children and families enjoy the Easter Bunny Hunt.”

Entry is £2 per form.
