THIEVES allegedly broke into a property and stole a number of power tools worth £2,500.

North Yorkshire Police says the burglary happened between March 13 and March 15 on Alma Square, in Scarborough.

A spokesperson for the force said: “A number of Milwaukee handheld power tools valuing approximately £2500 were taken from a property which was being refurbished.

“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“In particular, we are appealing for information about the location of these tools and any potential sightings of suspects.”
