THE Yorkshire Air Ambulance landed in Norton this afternoon to attend to a patient.
The air ambulance, used the ATS car park Norton to wait to see if the patient needed to be air lifted to the hospital or taken by road ambulance, after it was called out shortly after 3pm.
Lindsay Burr co-owner of the land in Commercial Street said it was a pleasure to help the air ambulance.
"It’s not something you see everyday on Commercial Street," she added.
"The pilot explained that the site was a perfect place for landing.
T"he air ambulance team do a fantastic job and would help anyone of us in distress, it is a charity, that rely on the generosity of the public.
Lindsay added: "The air ambulance have been given permission to land on the car park and use the land any time they want, whilst the land is undeveloped."
