David BroadHurst, 94, helped to recite a range of children’s poems to send to Thornton Dale C of E Primary School
RESIDENTS at a Thornton le Dale care home have made a video reciting a variety of poems for a school's poetry week.
The Hall have filmed themselves performing a range of children’s poems, including Did You Ever Play Tag with a Tiger, to send to Thornton Dale C of E Primary School.
The video aims to recreate the sense of grandparents reading to their grandchildren.
Christina Stone, a resident at The Hall, said: “I loved reading to my granddaughter when she was little and having the opportunity to recite a poem for the children was special.”
Manager Nicky Beach, added: “Recording the poems to share with the children is a memory that residents will cherish forever.”
