FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a chimney fire last night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say the incident occurred on Barton Le Street, in Malton, at around 9.54pm.
A spokesperson said: “One crew attended a chimney fire.
“The fire was confined to the chimney and crews used a chimney kit and a thermal imaging camera. The cause is believed to be an accumulation of soot.”
