MOUNTAIN rescuers were called out after an elderly man collapsed near Hovingham.
Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT) and Yorkshire Air Ambulance helped the man who had become unwell and collapsed this afternoon (Wednesday) at around 1.30pm.
A spokesperson said: “The patient was carried to the air ambulance and airlifted to definitive medical care.
“18 team members and two team vehicles were deployed for an hour and ten minutes.”
