A MOUNTAIN rescue team has helped a walker with a hip injury.
Volunteers from Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT) assisted the Yorkshire Ambulance Service in the extraction of the individual after sustaining the injury from a falling tree.
The incident occured at Cropton Forest this morning (Wednesday) at around 11.21am.
A spokesperson said: “15 team members and two team vehicles travelling to the scene when we were stood down, as there were sufficient people on scene to carry the patient to the waiting ambulance.
“Activation was for approximately 40 minutes.”
