ALL but one area of Ryedale has seen cases rise over the seven days leading up to December 18, according to the latest figures.

Figures from Public Health England show that only the area of Helmsley and Ampleforth now has a 'supressed' rate of fewer than three cases. 

Malton and Norton saw its cases rise by 17 in the seven days up to December 18, followed by Sheriff Hutton, Slingsby and Swinton with 10 and Rillington and Sherburn, also with 10.

The biggest rises have been in the Scarborough area with Ayton & Snainton recording 24 cases (up 21) and Wheatcroft & Cayton with 29 cases, up 23.

For Ryedale and surrounding area, the figures for the seven days up to December 18 are (seven–day rolling rate in brackets):
