A FURTHER eight patients with coronavirus have died at York and Scarborough hospitals.

NHS England said today that the total number of Covid-related deaths at the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since the pandemic began now stood at 353, which compared with 345 yesterday.

Meanwhile, they have been 45 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Ryedale and Scarborough in the last 24 hours.

The latest figures by Public Health England show Ryedale had 14 new cases in the latest 24 hours, taking its total to 873. Scarborough had 31 new cases taking its total to 3,567.

The figures below show (in this order) - the district, number of cases in the past seven day, the seven day rate per 100,000 population, and the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic.
