THERE have been three further deaths related to Covid-19 recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The data from NHS England shows that the total number of deaths related to the virus in the York trust is now 324. The trust includes York and Scarborough hospitals.

Meanwhile, figures from Public Health England shows Scarborough's seven day rate per 100,000 population has gone up again, from 163.7 to 165.5.

Scarborough had 35 new cases, taking its total to 3,140. Ryedale has had three new cases, taking its total to 784. Its seven-day rate dropped from 72.2 to 65.

Nationally, there were 20,964 new cases. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases. There were 516 deaths (those within 28 days of positive test) taking the total to 63,082.
