THERE have been four further deaths related to Covid-19 recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The latest data from NHS England shows that the total number of deaths related to the virus in the York trust is now 321. The trust includes York and Scarborough hospitals.

Meanwhile, figures from Public Health England shows Ryedale and Scarborough's seven day rate per 100,000 population has gone up; Scarborough's from 162.7 to 163.7 and Ryedale from 70.4 to 72.2

Scarborough had 28 new cases, taking its total to 3,105. Ryedale has had nine new cases, taking its total to 781.

The figures below show (in this order) - the district, number of cases in the past seven day, seven day rate per 100,000 population and total number of cases since the start of the pandemic.

Nationally, there were 16,578 new cases. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases. There were 533 deaths (those within 28 days of positive test) taking the total to 62,566.
