THE number of deaths related to Covid-19 at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation trust has increased, the latest figures confirm.
The data from NHS England shows that the total number of deaths related to the virus in the York trust is now 309. The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough.
Meanwhile, figures from Public Health England shows Ryedale has had five new cases, taking its total to 744, and 33 in Scarborough, taking its total to 2,960.
The figures below show (in this order) - the district, number of cases in the past seven day, seven day rate per 100,000 population and total number of cases since the start of the pandemic.

North Yorkshire - 666, 107.8, 13,576
East Riding of Yorkshire - 628, 184.1, 10,027
Nationally, there were 14,879 new cases. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases. There were 414 deaths (those within 28 days of positive test) taking the total to 60,113.
