THERE have been 63 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in North Yorkshire, taking the total to 13,271 since the start of the pandemic.

Figures from Public Health England shows the seven-day figure per 100,000 population for the county is now 129.9. In Ryedale, it is 108.3 and 175.6 in Scarborough.

Nationally, there were 12,330 new cases. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases. There were 205 deaths (those within 28 days of positive test) taking the total to 58,448.
