A PICKERNG family is helping to spread some festive cheer by lighting up their homes and gardens with dozens of Christmas lights and decorations.
Shirley Harrison, and her dad, Alan Garratt, who lives next door in Ashfield Road, have gone to town on their festive display this year to help everyone get in the move for the festive season.
She said: "We did this to cheer up people, especially children and the elderly as they have suffered a lot too this year.
I have a tub of sweets by the gate that Santa has left for the children to let them know that he will still be coming Christmas Eve. It’s wonderful to hear the children so excited. Makes it worthwhile.
Shirley said: "I have had hundreds of comments and lovely messages from people saying thank you it has cheered them all up.
"Everyone is welcome old and young."
Are you helping to spread some Christmas cheer with your decorations this year?
Send photos of your display to karen.darley@nqyne.co.uk and we will include them in a festive round-up.
