FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a washing machine on fire.
Crews from Scarborough and Filey attended the scene at a high-rise residential premises on Weaponnes Park, in Scarborough, at around 10.34am yesterday.
A spokesperson from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) said: “Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire contained within the washing machine.
“The cause is believed to have been an electrical fault.”
