A COUNTRY house is reopening its grounds after it closed due to the second lockdown.

Sledmere House on the Yorkshire Wolds will welcome the public back to its grounds, garden and adventure play area from this Saturday. It will be open from 10am to 3.30pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

Visitors need to book in advance as numbers are limited. Friends members do not need to book before their visit.

The rare breed farm park will remain closed until December 2, in compliance with the new government guidelines.

However, The Farm Shop, The Pantry and The Woodyard, along with refreshment kiosk remain open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm.

The café remains closed due to building work, but takeaway options are available in our pop up refreshment kiosk next to The Woodyard. The house also remains closed until further notice.
