PEOPLE in Ryedale will be now be able to get advice from a physiotherapist without seeing their GP first.
Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust has launched Physio Direct, a new service for over 18s with joint and muscle issues.
It has been set up to allow patients to get advice quickly from professionals specialising in this field, about neck or back pain, recent injuries and muscle or joint problems without seeing their GP.
It is available seven days a week, from 8am to 6pm, and patients will be booked into a prompt telephone triage appointment with a physiotherapist. For more information, phone 01653 609609 or visit humber.nhs.uk/news/?postid=118514
