THERE has been 13 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Ryedale.

Public Health England is now providing data which shows the total number of cases reported in our area for the whole of the pandemic, as well as the number of new cases in the last seven days and the seven day rate per 100,000 population.

Our figures below show (in this order) - the district, number of cases in the past seven day, seven day rate per 100,000 population and total number of cases since the start of the pandemic

Ryedale - 45, 81.3, 424 (up 13 in the previous 24 hours) 

Scarborough - 140, 128.7, 1,294 (up 30)

City of York - 543, 257.8, 3,652 (up 63)

North Yorkshire - 1,091, 176.5, 7,815 (up 185)

East Riding of Yorkshire - 911, 267, 4,803 (up 133)

Nationally, there have been 24,405 new cases, taking the total to 989,745. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases. 

There have been 274 deaths in the UK, taking the total to 46,299.
