A DISTILLERY is celebrating after winning a converted accolade for its Yorkshire Tonic.
Raisthorpe Distillery, in Wharram, near Malton, has won a Great British Food Award for its Pink Grapefruit Tonic in the fruit juice and mixers category.
The Great British Food Awards highlights the finest artisan food and drink from across the UK, with celebrity judges, including The Hairy Bikers, Michel Roux Jr and Raymond Blanc.
“We are thrilled to have won top spot in the fruit juice and mixers category in this year’s Great British Food Awards,” said Oliver Medforth, operations director at Raisthorpe Distillery.
“Winning a national award is a great accolade and tops a fantastic year for our Yorkshire Tonics.”
Raisthorpe has seen online sales of its tonics increase during the coronavirus pandemic, available in Morrisons, Booths and farm shops and independent retailers.
