A RYEDALE library will reopen its doors tomorrow (Wednesday) following its closure for refurbishment.
Malton Library is now "bright, modern and with flexible facilities, such as moveable shelving that in the future will enable the library to host a wider range of events and activities".
Along with the rest of the library, the children’s area has benefited from a full makeover and a dedicated IT space has been created, along with a further space for customers who prefer to bring their own devices.
County Cllr Greg White, executive member for libraries, said: “This refurbishment brings customers a range of benefits, not only in the form of excellent library facilities, but also a flexible space to allow the community to make best use of the venue and online access to an expanded range of county council and district council services.
“Staff and volunteers are looking forward to welcoming people back into the new library space and customers can be assured that a range of measures is in place to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable visit.”
