A memorial service and wreath-laying will be held at Malton War Memorial, from 10.50am on Sunday, November 8.

The Mayor of Malton, Cllr Paul Emberley said: “In common with every parish, town and city authority throughout the land, our act of Remembrance in Malton will inevitably be different this year.

“Nonetheless, it’s important that we still gather to remember those who have given their lives in all conflicts – to safeguard the freedoms we enjoy today. 2020 remains especially poignant, as we have marked the 75th anniversary since the end of World War Two, with VE Day and VJ Day.”

Poppies will be available from a number of locations in Malton. For more information, phone Shaun Brosnan on 07855 796354.
