NINE new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ryedale, and one more death hospital within the York teaching trust.
The latest data from Public Health England shows the total number of cases reported in our area are:
Ryedale - 318 - up nine in the past 24 hours (574.2 rate per 100,000 population)
Scarborough - 1,007 up 14 (925.9)
City of York - 2,474 up 75 (1,174.6)
North Yorkshire - 5,625 up 115 (910.1)
East Riding of Yorkshire - 3,062 up 68 (897.5)
Nationally, there have been 689,657 cases, up 15,650 in the past 24 hours. There have been 136 deaths bringing the total to 43,429. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases.
Meanwhile, the further Covid-19 death takes the total for this week up to five.
The latest figures from NHS England confirm the total number of Covid deaths within the trust now stands at 221. The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough.
