FOLLOWING two successful relaunch events at the end of September, the Milton Rooms in Malton is hosting two more gigs this month.
First up is a free performance by Taphouse Burnout on Saturday, October 24, at 7.30pm. Taphouse Burnout are an eclectic mix of acoustic musicians playing covers as solo artists, duos and the full band. Then Ryedale Blues Club returns on Thursday, October 29, at 7.30pm, with Herbal Remedy. The band are no strangers to the Milton Rooms, having previously wowed Ryedale Blues Club under the guise of Auld Man’s Baccie. This is their full-on electric band alter ego, so expect another evening of outstanding music and north east banter.
Both are socially-distanced gigs with an audience limit of 60 in the main hall.
Venue manager Lisa Rich said: “We have received very positive feedback from audiences and performers and the Covid-19 safety measures we have in place are working well.
“There has also been interest from other local community groups who would like to hire the venue.
“This is extremely encouraging and is proving that the Milton Rooms truly is an essential community hub.’’
