A RYEDALE company is one of four firms to have been shortlisted in the Which? Awards that celebrate and reward the very best businesses in the UK.
Inntravel, which specialises in “slow” holidays, has been shortlisted for the Holiday Provider of the Year category, alongside Explore, Kuoni and Trailfinders.
The winner will be announced tomorrow (Thursday) on social media.
Established in 1984 and based near Castle Howard, Inntravel provides crafted self-guided holidays and breaks that discover the lesser-taken paths of Europe and beyond, whether on foot, on two wheels, by rail or car.
Which? said: “Inntravel is a consistent top-performer specialising in off-the-beaten track self-guided holidays – whether that’s hiking in the Canary Islands or cycling in Slovenia.
“Its attention to detail ensures a slick operation - from the detailed maps and background notes about local history and culture to the seamless luggage transfers along the route.”
“It was awarded five stars for its organised itineraries and customer service. It also has a near flawless record on refunding customers during the pandemic.”
Karl Watson, managing director at Inntravel, said: “Though Inntravel has grown since the early years as a family-run firm with just a handful of staff, we remain a dedicated, tight-knit team, so we were absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted once again in these much sought after awards.
"It will come as a particular fillip to our team at this time who have worked so hard to get things right for our customers throughout the pandemic. It says a huge amount for our staff and suppliers’ dedication and commitment to quality and customer service.”
