A MAN arrested following the death of a woman on the A64 will not face any charges, North Yorkshire Police have confirmed.
A woman, who was in her early 30s, died on the A64 near the B1261 Cayton Low Lane on August 27.
A 29-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident has now been released and will not face any further action. A 47-year-old man remains under investigation.
Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident which was reported to police by Yorkshire Ambulance Service at 12.18am on August 27.
Officers are still appealing for witnesses and information about the incident, in particular any dash-cam footage from passing vehicles at the time of the incident.
