STUNNING landscapes, wildlife and even a Patagonian shepherd feature in a virtual exhibition.

Not allowing coronavirus restrictions to dampen their spirits, Kirkbymoorside and District Camera Club has collected more than 200 colourful, monochrome and quirky photographs to showcase in the online exhibition, from October 1 to October 31.

A full genre of photography will be represented, from landscapes to portraits, creative to architecture and sports to nature.

The club normally hosts its annual exhibition in the Old Library Room, in Helmsley, but to minimise the spread of coronavirus, a physical exhibition is not possible.

“Our members were saddened when we had to cancel our annual exhibition of prints, but they have responded enthusiastically to our online exhibition,” said Harry Kingman, chairman of the Kirkbymoorside and District Camera Club.

“Not only is it bigger than our previous exhibitions, but I think the standard is even higher.

“I am certain that everyone will find something of interest.”

Kirkbymoorside and District Camera Club recently celebrated a successful year with members, old and new, gaining recognition for their work and the club.

The club yet again regained their title in the very closely contested annual three-way competition between Scarborough and Malton camera clubs - hosted and judged via Zoom.

New members of all standards are welcome to join Kirkbymoorside and District Camera Club.
