A TEENAGER needed hospital treatment after becoming impaled on his bike.
Firefighters and the ambulance were called out at 3.04pm yesterday to Shipton Road in York after reports that a 15-year-old boy had a bicycle brake leaver impaled in his knee.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said a crew from Acomb assisted in releasing the boy and he was then taken to hospital by road ambulance for further treatment.
