A PICKERING business has helped raise funds for the RAF’s Wings appeal.
With all branch meetings and events postponed this year, the RAF Association’s Ryedale Branch has been unable to hold the usual street collections and fundraising. The Hidden Market in Pickering came to the rescue by continuing their support after re-opening and recently raising £1,080 from a small display of RAFA merchandise and a collecting box.
The branch marked this achievement with the presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation by Cyril Shreeve, Branch President.
The Wings Appeal is the RAF Association’s on-going fundraising campaign that runs throughout the year. It is the fundraising arm of the Association and helps raise the vital funds needed to support serving and former serving RAF personnel and their families.
