GP surgeries in Ryedale have launched their annual flu jab campaign

Derwent Medical Practice in Norton, Sherburn and Rillington Practice, Ampleforth & Hovingham Surgeries and Ayton & Snainton Medical Practice are encouraging patients to book their appointment.

Flu clinics open this month with priority for people over 65, anyone with a chronic illness, such as asthma or COPD, and other medical conditions which causes flu vulnerability.

The government has suggested people aged between 50 and 64 may also be eligible, as well as those living in households with shielded patients. The second round of patients will be invited for their flu jabs in November or December.

To support surgery staff during the pandemic, patients are asked to follow the one-way system, attend appointments on time, follow social distancing rules and wear a face mask. If you are eligible, wait for an invitation or contact your practice.
