POLICE stopped two cars on the A64 yesterday (Monday) related to drink and drug driving.
Reports were made of a group of males causing trouble on the sea front in Scarborough, who were suspected to have been drinking.
They left in a vehicle, in an unknown direction, and were eventually located on A64 near York. The driver was arrested after failing a breath test.
Later a motorist was seen driving a van erratically near Malton.
A police spokesperson said: "There were smells of cannabis too and a positive test was made along with cannabis found in the vehicle. The driver was also arrested."
