A CAR hit a bridge andended up in a shallow beck this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to Catter Bridge on the A170 just before 2.50pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire Service said: "Crews from Kirkbymoorside and Pickering responded to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision which has collided with a small bridge and gone into the shallow beck below.
"Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the car which was smoking, and provided first aid care to casualties who had been in the car, assisting paramedics on scene."
