The A169 Malton to Pickering road is currently closed
POLICE have said the A169 has now reopened.
The Malton to Pickering road was closed earlier after a member of public located what appeared to be an unexploded World Ward Two device.
The EOD were called to the scene near Howe Bridge and a cordon put in place.
A police spokesperson said: "We’re pleased to say to A169 has now reopened.
"Thank you for your patience."
