AN NHS worker has found herself in a bizarre situation after her motorbike was stolen during the coronavirus lockdown.

Adina Nash from Easthampstead, Bracknell contacted the News as an appeal to help find her stolen motorbike.

Luckily at the time, she was given a courtesy car due to her being a nurse and needing to get to work in London.

Her Suzuki V-Strom bike was reportedly stolen from her locked garage on Saturday, May 16 at about 3.30pm.

After almost two months, Adina was told her bike was found dumped in a locked car park in Maidenhead but because the insurance company already paid out, the motorbike is no longer hers, says Ms Nash.

She said: "Unfortunately the insurance company had already paid out and technically the bike is no longer mine although they have told me that it will go to auction and I can bid for it when the auction takes place.

"I have no idea how much it will go for so I have set myself a limit of £2000. I wasn't expecting the bike to be found so when the insurance paid out I was intending to go and buy another replacement although due to Covid-19 everything at work changed and I am being told to spend the majority of my working week doing telephone consultations from home.

"The bike has some damage - broken headlight, missing number plate and it must have been dropped at some point as there is some minor scuff marks to the right-hand grip. The side panniers are also missing."

Thames Valley Police said they recovered the bike on 2 July.
