Pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and other businesses in the hospitality sector will be allowed to reopen from Saturday.

July 4 - dubbed "Super Saturday" - will be the first day people will be able to eat and drink in a pub, restaurant or cafe.

Many people undoubtedly will also be looking forward to their first haircut in a salon or barbers in three months since lockdown.

Hotels, cinemas, theme parks and theatres will also be allowed to reopen - although live performances including drama, comedy and music will not be allowed to take place in front of a live audience.

However, a poll by a health and safety company suggests just one in five people in Watford plan to head to the pub tomorrow.

Councils and police are also urging people to be cautious and act responsibly to ensure the latest step to easing lockdown goes ahead safely.

Not all restaurants, cafes and pubs will reopen on Saturday. Many are still making preparations to reopen safely, and several (including Bella Italia and Chiquito in Watford) have announced they will not reopen after the lockdown due to financial difficulties.
