A RECOVERY group is offering guidance for alcohol and drug dependency during the pandemic.
North Yorkshire Horizons says more than 55 per cent of drinkers reported an increase in the number of days they consumed alcohol each week during lockdown, with 33 per cent of people reporting an increase in binge drinking.
“We believe some people may be misusing drink and drugs to cope with anxiety about the future,” said Mark Vidgen, operations director.
Appointments are taking place on the phone, or via online meetings for both one to one and group discussions.
