MOUNTAIN rescue have helped an injured woman after she fell from a horse this afternoon.
Fifteen members of Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT) attended the incident on a track north of Hutton Buscel at 1.30pm after they were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
A spokesperson for the SRMRT said: "An ambulance crew were with her and had treated her injuries, but requested assistance to recover her up the track/bridleway back to their ambulance. Fifteen team members deployed for two and a half hours."
It is the team's fifth callout in seven days. Other call-outs include helping a woman who had suffered a lower leg injury in Millington Wood, near Pocklington, yesterday evening.
Due to the terrain, Yorkshire Ambulance Service were unable to get the patient back to their ambulance.
Members and vehicles were deployed the team carried the patient to the waiting ambulance by 7.20pm.
