A POPULAR Ryedale garden and parkland will welcome back visitors from next week.

Scampston Walled Garden has announced it will reopen its gardens and parkland to the public from Thursday, June 4, for four days a week, Thursday to Sunday.

The plant nursery will also be open for visitors, but the café and hall will remain closed until further notice.

Visitors can expect social distancing and hygiene measures to be in place, such as two metre-queuing points at key areas, sanitising stations, cashless payments only and additional cleaning measures.

Chris Legard, owner of Scampston Hall, said: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our visitors back to Scampston and hope that they can enjoy their day here with the reassurance that we have their health in mind.”
